The Gift That Gives More
For the first time ever, Hemlock’s popular holiday gift wrap is available for purchase! And as an added benefit, 10% of all proceeds go to supporting critical forest sustainability initiatives.

10% for Forests
We all need healthy forests. Forests are home to more than half of all species found on land, a rich variety of life that sustains our most vital natural systems – from keeping our climate stable, to regulating our water supply and improving its quality. Unfortunately, human impact has already led to the loss of close to 40% of the world’s forests. Halting deforestation, protecting, sustainably managing and restoring forests has never been more urgent.
That’s why we have selected our charitable partner, Canopy, to ensure we are doing all we can to care for this finite resource. 10% of all proceeds will go to this not-for-profit to ensure Ancient and Endangered forests are protected for this generation and the next. It’s also why we’ve chosen to celebrate the biodiversity of the world’s forests with the design of this year’s gift wrap collection. And, of course, all elements are produced using the most advanced sustainable printing techniques and paper sourcing choices possible.

Six Forests, Six Gift Wraps
This year’s holiday gift wrap designs are inspired by six different forest regions and the beautifully diverse plants and animals that call them home. You can read more about the specific forest biomes from which we drew our inspiration as you browse through the different wrap designs below. We hope you enjoy them, and we hope your loved ones do, too.
The Wraps
Explore a sampling of the amazing diversity of our world’s forests as you wrap gifts for your loved ones. Or, give a package as a gift! Each sheet is exquisitely printed using between 6-8 vivid colours by the master press operators at Hemlock. Printed carbon neutral on Rolland Enviro uncoated paper – made from 100% post-consumer waste – this is premium, responsibly-printed gift wrap you’ll be proud to share with your family and friends.

01
Boreal Forest
Taiga, generally referred to in North America as boreal forest or snow forest, is a biome characterized by coniferous forests consisting mostly of pines, spruces, and larches. The taiga is the world's largest land biome, and is home to a wide variety of animals, including lynx, bear, fox and the iconic caribou.

02
Montane and Taiga Forests
Yellowstone National Park in the western U.S. covers an enormous area at the intersection of Taiga, Montane and Prairie ecosystems. Its forests are dominated by lodgepole pine and interspersed with alpine meadows. Sagebrush steppe and grasslands in lower-elevation ranges provide essential winter forage for elk, bison and bighorn sheep.

03
Tropical Rainforest
The Amazon rainforest, covering much of northwestern Brazil and extending into Colombia, Peru and other South American countries, is the world’s largest tropical rainforest, famed for its biodiversity. Its vast scale and density enable the capture of massive amounts of CO2, earning the Amazon its nickname, “the lungs of the world.”

04
Tropical Rainforest
The Congo Basin is the second largest tropical rainforest in the world, with almost 2 million square kilometers of humid forest—an area about the size of Mexico. The Congo Basin is home to over 1,000 species of birds, as well as mammals like gorillas, chimps, elephants and the adorable bongo, a white-striped forest antelope.

05
Tropical Rainforest
Aceh, Indonesia has the largest range of biodiversity in the Asian Pacific region, but has faced threats of deforestation since the 1970s. Among the rarer large mammals are the Sumatran rhinoceros, Sumatran tiger, Orangutan and Sumatran elephant.

06
Temperate Mixed Forest
The Southeast Australian Temperate Forests comprise a wide variety of vegetation and are home to a rich variety of birds, marsupials and other fauna. Our wrap is inspired by some of this richness, featuring the ubiquitous eucalyptus, native flowering plants, and the adorable Tiger Quoll, a carnivorous marsupial with tawny fur and white spots.
Packaged in sets of six, with complementary gift tags
Six 24” x 36” sheets are folded to 12” x 12” and collated within a custom reusable folio. The package also includes 28 tear-out gift tags that beautifully complement the wrap themes and palette.

The six wraps fold down to 12” x 12” and are presented in a beautiful folio that keeps the wraps organized and provides details about each of the featured forests.

The folio is printed on Mohawk Renewal, made from 30% sustainably sourced hemp fibre, and features detailed finishing techniques such as embossing, perforation and diecutting.

28 corresponding gift tags in a variety of colours are integrated into the package, perforated for easy tear-out, some drilled so they’re easy to attached with a string or ribbon.

The Team
The Hemlock Printers Holiday Gift Wrap has been a tradition and success for over 15 years. This year we are expanding our program to give even more people the opportunity to be a part of the excitement. But we couldn’t have done it without the support of these remarkable contributors:
This year’s gift wrap collection is the work of Seattle illustrator and designer Misha Zadeh Graham. When she’s not designing gift wrap, Misha develops products for the paper goods, textiles, and housewares markets. Whether designing on behalf of a client or for her own brand, gestural brushwork and colourful wildlife, flowers and plants characterize her style.

Mohawk is a fourth generation, family owned paper company whose purpose is to make print more beautiful, effective and memorable. The Mohawk Renewal product line uses hemp, straw and recycled cotton fibers that would otherwise have been disposed of, effectively reducing waste and the use of tree fibre.
Canopy is a not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to protecting species, climate and the world’s most Ancient and Endangered forests. Canopy collaborates with hundreds of companies around the planet to clean supply chains, implement Next Gen Solutions, and keep these precious landscapes standing.

Hemlock Printers is one of the most trusted and sustainable printing companies in North America, operating carbon neutral from its Burnaby, BC based production facility.
Recently, we launched our social purpose, to create connections, build community and inspire actions that safeguard the health of the world’s forests. This purpose will help guide us as we make all future decisions, for the protection of our ancient and endangered forests.
